Who are we looking for:
As Apollo grows, so does our need for a strong People Ops team. We currently have an HR consultant supporting us with People Leadership and strategy, and she’s looking for a partner in crime to support with the administrative side of HR. With an established team, on-going recruitment and onboarding, and so much more, there will be many opportunities to take on different projects in addition to the day-to-day of helping run the HR show. If you enjoy having a variety of tasks on the go and working behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly, then you’ll fit right in. The ideal candidate is able to contribute 20-40 hours a week in the short term before transitioning into a full time role.

- Running bi-weekly payroll
- Onboarding/offboarding employees to/from HRIS and benefits platforms
- Supporting with building job descriptions
- Creating reports based on people-related data in the business (surveys, employee satisfaction, feedback collection, HRIS data)
- Preparing employee contracts and other documents
- Supporting in conversations about salary increases and promotions
- Keeping CNESST records up to date and ensuring compliance with federal and provincial regulations
- Organizing social events in the office and virtually
- Providing recruitment support and organizing screening calls etc.
- Collaborating with the marketing team to build up employer branding
- Ordering office supplies & other ad hoc tasks as required
Job Requirements
- Experience in an administrative role
- Confident having screening calls with incoming candidates
- Strong organizational skills
- Effective and respectful communicator (verbal and by email)
- Comfortable working with confidential information and maintaining confidentiality
- Familiarity with HR processes, HRIS platforms and compliance requirements is a bonus
- Comfortable handling conflict and responding to employee concerns
